I believe that we, as Americans and as human beings as a whole, want others to be happy, or at least as happy as we want for ourselves. Regardless of our individual upbringings or ways of life, principles like community, charity, honesty and honor are all held up as noble virtues to aspire to.
My policy proposals for the future of America always start with this in mind: “How can we solve this problem while maintaining people’s individual rights, and produce an outcome that is fundamentally kind towards everyone?” I know, it sounds corny and childish. But the way I see it…
